When your publisher is in Canada and you’re in the Netherlands, there’s lots of logical to-ing and fro-ing across the Gulf of Greenland while your book is in production. Back then, did I realize that Becoming Janice would also be trotting over the entire globe? No way!
Naïve of me, I suppose, considering Iguana Books made Becoming Janice available on their website in Toronto, and in bookstores all over the world—as well as on this website.
Even so, I only realized what a global reach the book had developed when I was compiling reviews for marketing purposes. Only then did I notice that the reviews were coming— in the immortal words of the Beatles—from here, there and everywhere.

To round this off, here’s a shot of the launch party for Becoming Janice in April 2024, held half online because many of the people invited to share the happy occasion lived nowhere near the Netherlands. How could I have forgotten this global lineup!
The other half came to celebrate in person, and a fine time was had by one and all of us, all over the place!
