Yippee! I am delighted to announced that Becoming Janice will be published by Iguana Books, a hybrid publishing house in Toronto, Canada. Iguana are going to publish both ebook and paperback versions, maybe an audiobook too, which will be available worldwide in all major online bookstores. We’ve set the release date for April 10, 2024, to coincide with my birthday. What a great present!
Yay! So, why did I choose to trust Iguana? Simple answer: professional quality. Founded as a publishing services company by Greg Ioannou, Iguana has been editing and designing books for major publishers with a dedicated team of professionals for decades. Greg himself has a long history in publishing. He’s edited somewhere between 2,000 and 3,000 books, served four terms as President of the Editors’ Association of Canada, and among other community services, founded the Editors’ Association of Earth, the place for editors to hang out on Facebook.
Greg says he was inspired to start Iguana (called that in friendly recognition of the frequent misspellings of his surname) to address some of the structural problems in trad publishing and to help publish top-quality books unable to find a home in trad houses. Given the immense competition for publication these days, and all the pitfalls associated with self-publishing, it was a no brainer to go with Iguana Books and ensure top-quality publication for Becoming Janice.
